Understanding how to manage waste properly is important for protecting our environment and keeping our city clean. In this session, students learned how garbage and recycling work in St. John's and how to sort items correctly.

• Plastic containers and cans – rinse and recycle
• Food waste – compost if available
• Hazardous waste – special drop-off
• Soft plastics and wrappers – garbage bin
