Are You Feeling Stressed?

Stress can come from school, friends, family, and expectations. The workshop compared the mind to a phone: a low battery can feel like tiredness, a frozen phone can feel like being overwhelmed, and full storage can feel like having too much to process at once.

Signs Your Mind May Be Overloaded

  • Feeling irritated
  • Feeling tired but unable to rest
  • Overthinking
  • Wanting to be alone

Your Go-To Tools

  • Breathe: Slow down and give your mind a moment.
  • Name the feeling: Start with “I feel…”
  • Talk to someone: Reach out to a trusted adult, friend, counsellor, or support service.
  • Reset: Rest, move, step outside, or choose another healthy coping tool.

What Do Counsellors Do?

Counsellors listen, help people understand their feelings, teach coping tools, and offer support without judgment. You do not need to have everything figured out at once.
